Read at your own risk.... it was a rough month

You go along with life... and all of the sudden you get dealt "one of those weeks". Well, that was us only it was "one of those 21 day periods." I said to Raleigh last night "It kinda seemed like all Hell broke loose there for a minute."

But once again as always.... Conference was written for me. And I will ponder diligently the words our prophet said when he said "instead of dwelling on all of the blows, think of all of the blessings"

So here I go... Turning Lemons into Lemonade

1. Having the stomach flu for three days when you are 8 months pregnant
Lemon: Probably the worst thing ever and how come I had to have it for 72 hours? That's hardly fair. It's called the 24 hour flu. That is it's name.

"what did you have? I had the 24 hour flu"

that's what people say......... why me, three days? Sheeeeeeshhhhh.
Lemonade: I am 4 pounds lighter and have nearly all my energy back which means (maybe) a much cleaner house and food is starting to taste good again finally. Plus, I am happy to report that even though I dry heaved 400 times this girl remains to this day to be throw up free. We won't talk about the other end though.

2. My baby had some sort of unexplained but slightly scary illness for 24 hours
Lemon: nothing on the Earth is more frustrating than a sick baby who can't tell you where it hurts and so you have NO idea how to help her or what to do.
Lemonade: it only lasted 24 hours and I got to just sit and hold her the entire time and look at her and listen to her breathe and fall even more in love.

3. Having your entire family sick for literally 21 days in a row (we all had the flu plus the mystery illness and NOW Raleigh is battling a horrible cold that we will probably all get hit with)
Lemon: Life as you know it comes to a screeching halt when you are all sick at the same time.
Lemonade: We are all immune to nearly everything there is out there.... Plus, flu shots are happening on Wednesday... So BRING ON THAT BABY, we are ready.

4. Not having internet for 10 days
Lemon: No emails from friends, no blog updates, no online banking, and since Alpine School District has jumped on the...

"do your work from home and submit it to your teacher's email by such and such an hour or you fail program"

Two of my children are now going to have to drop out of high school and become fry cooks.
Lemonade: We read a lot, played outside more, and bonded. And it just so happens that I LOVE fries.... SOOOOOO

5. Raleigh had to go to St. George for four days to help them in the store down there
Lemon: I don't like it when he is gone AT ALL and I was SOOOOOOO bummed that I couldn't go.
Lemonade: He saved the day down there, making him somewhat of a hero. And man, the homecoming was AAAHHHMAZING.

I just love the "oh my gosh, I missed you so much and you look so cute and I never want you to leave again, come over here and let's make out" homecomings. YUMMMMMMMMMM.

6. At my last appointment, I measured 31 weeks when I should be measuring 34.
Lemon: A semi-worried doctor which makes a very worried/slightly paranoid mom for the next four weeks
Lemonade: An early delivery SET IN STONE because small babies get "hung up" in cords, so we are going to yank her out before she gets into trouble. So my job is to monitor every movement/no movement (which thankfully so far there hasn't been a moment that this little girl isn't moving so that is a huge relief to us) even though, I am one big internal bruise. Our goal: no cords around the neck this time. PLEASE???

7. And finally... Of course there is no reason to say anything about the Cougs. There is NO lemonade there. I was thinking maybe they should just give up and challenge someone like Beaver High School to a game. That way they might have a shot at a win. And on a side note: What is YOUR deal Manning/Collie???? Could you guys get your trash together? Two losses? Gosh this is the worst football season ever!!!!

My conclusion to this stupid post (since there hasn't really been anything in our life to post about) is........... POO POO September. You were not good to us. Glad to see you go.

We are counting on you October to pull us out of this. I'm thinking the Harvest Decor can only help things.

YAY! I'm so excited that you are back among the living. Cute post, a little TMI about the homecoming but I'm dealing with it! Glad everyone is on the mend and I'm especially glad that you have your Internet back!! I hope October turns out to be a great month for you and the Cougs but their first game of the month was on the 1st and that didn't go so well but I'm trying to remain optimistic. I'm sure glad we decided not to get season tickets this year! Hang in there, only one month to go and we'll have a sweet new baby to hold.
