We had a busy Saturday, getting all caught up on laundry and doing other neglected chores around the house. Raleigh was home in the morning, so we went to breakfast at our favorite, Black Bear Diner. We've been there four times now in one month. I think it will be our new Saturday Ritual.
Mom and Dad came over to bring the table that Dad restored for us. It is fabulous and looks, just as he promised, exactly like an elegant piece of furniture. When you consider I paid $15.99 for it, I am overjoyed to say the least.

If only I could just find the perfect thing to put on it.
Morgan, Ryker and I went shopping for some home decor at three new stores here in town. I could have easily spent $1000. But I held back. Morgan made me a Christmas List of vintage things she wants for her room. It was fun to spend the day with her.
Now that Raleigh works minutes from our house, we are blessed to have him come home and spend his lunch hours with us. It breaks up his shifts so nicely and makes it seem like we are seeing him so much more.

And we were only a little scared.
The fabulous garden that we inherited is producing all kinds of vegetation. Thanks to mom, who came over on Friday and weeded and picked up fallen fruit. I love going out there to see the change in colors from day to day.

And Pears...... oh my!!
Morgan came into my room about 9:00. I was putting Ryker to sleep. She said she had some scripture questions... which thankfully I was able to answer. And it launched us into a deep and meaningful doctrinal discussion that I prayed as I was going to bed, would have a profound impact. She is so logical. I was so happy that we were able to talk. It meant more to me, than her, I am certain.
And Raleigh and I ended our night with back rubs and by reading our book. I asked him to download NieNie's book and to read it to me. Which he devotedly has, every night. But last night was the accident part and we sobbed through 4 chapters as we imagined ourselves in that situation, not being together, not being with our kids, possibly dying. It is such a good book and I love him for reading it with me.
A good end to a good week...
