July and part of August

We had heard that When You Wish at Tuachan was a great show to take kids to.
We decided that we should take our little ones because they don't get out much and we thought they'd love it.  We had recently taken them to the movie and they did pretty good, but by the end of the movie, all three of them were sitting on our laps.
So, we bought 2 seats for 3 kids, knowing one of them would be on one of our laps the entire show.
Well....  Tuachan has a very strict policy that every butt in the theater MUST buy a ticket even though their butt never sits in a seat.  We didn't realize this policy until security came up to us in the middle of the show and treated us like we were first class criminals.

The rule is your kid can sit on your lap.
But your kid MUST pay $39.99 for his ticket.
And they made such a scene that the lady behind us tapped my on the shoulder right before they were about to kick us out and said

"Ma'am,  I have an extra ticket that I purchased for my husband, but he's not coming and you tell that man that I'm giving it to you.  Don't you DARE go pay them one more dime of your money.  I can't STAND the way they are treating you right now."

That ticked the security guard off SO bad
It was great.

It really was a fabulous show.
I wish I could have enjoyed it more.
But, I was fuming for the entire first act.
And I will NEVER go there again.
Freakin' Drama Snobs
What do you think this is?
Broadway.
I've been to Broadway.
Ain't even close, losers.
The kids were so well behaved
and they sang along and really loved the show

At the beginning of the summer, our oven went out.
It kinda wasn't a priority because it was really hot.
So we barbequed every night or ate out.
Finally, Raleigh couldn't stand it anymore because he likes to make cookies on Sunday nights and it had been too long.  So he googled what the problem could be.  I bought the part.  And he installed it.
A faulty ignitor.
We celebrated this Sunday, with snickerdoodles.

Another fun summer tradition that we enjoyed doing was going to get late night treats.
We visited Morgan at work and she made us ice cream cones.

It's such a cute little place to work.
I wish she liked it more.
She gives most of her shifts away

We also went hiking to beautiful places

I have loved taking church photos.  I have so many of them.
I have like 10 of Walt sleeping
 Funny little kids

I was lucky enough to get Pioneer Day off.
We chose to go to the Washington Rec Center.
It was almost fun...  but not quite.
The lifeguards yell at someone every .78 seconds and it gets really annoying.
One of them yelled at Peyton.
And she fell apart over it.  She is so sensitive and does not like to be told that she is doing something wrong.  She insisted that we leave immediately, even though we'd only been there for 53 minutes.
But, it worked out perfectly because at the exact moment that she was getting yelled at on one end of the pool, there was a kid pooping at the other end and the whole thing shut down.
AND......  there was an 80 year old grandma there who wore a very thin white shirt and even thinner white shorts and forgot to wear anything underneath and it wasn't a pretty sight.   When I first saw her, I thought I was imagining it, so I turned to Raleigh to ask him if he was seeing it and he was looking up at the sky cracking up and shaking his head, so I knew it was for real.  And the worst part is she went over and stood by her family and talked to them and NONE of them told her to cover up.  It was like it was normal.  What is wrong with people?  Why is it that every single day,  there is someone who reminds me that relatively speaking,  I rank really low on the crazy scale.   Just when I think I am the craziest person I know,  along comes a naked grandma at the community pool and knocks me way down to the bottom.

This girl, I tell you.... is the best.
I wish every one could have the pleasure of knowing her.
She makes the world a better place for sure.

That night, we burned gigantic sparklers in the back yard

And a sparkler spark flew in Raleigh's shoe and he got a third degree burn
that took 3 weeks to heal
 Ry HATES fireworks.
HATES THEM
This was a very good remedy
Then Raleigh set up the projector outside and played a movie on the side of our house.
It was really fun

Some really good friends came to visit us from Houston.
Mom was very nervous about not having enough room for them to sit and not having enough for them to eat.  So, she invited us over.  But it wasn't without rules.
Rule #1-  Don't sit on the comfortable furniture
#2-  Don't eat a lot of food
#3-  FOR SURE don't go back for seconds or you might lose a hand
#4-  Don't bring your children
#5-  Keep the conversation going

The four of us huddled together in the corner
and made fun of the rules all night.
It was the most fun I've had in a LONG time.
I love my family.

Crysti got a night job.
And when she works sometimes, Brayden will come over and hang out like the good ole days
We like when he comes over.
He's funny.
He thinks his job is helping him to grow muscles because he lifts heavy things all day long.
But, it turns out, the ice cream scooper (Morgan) is the clear winner.

Kori finished up radiation and chemo this month.
We had a little celebration at the Radiation office.
We really don't ever want to go to this office again.
They are nice people, so no offense.
But, your office kinda blows!!

We took Peyton over to the school to see who her new teacher is...
Mrs.  Hatch
She starts PM Kindergarten on August 20th
She is so excited.
We found out that she was missing a shot.
Stupid Doctor's Office for not catching that.
She had to get the shot before the 13th.
And so being the awesome parents that we are, we took her to get it ON HER BIRTHDAY!
She didn't even care.  She didn't make a peep.  She is so mature.
I love her with all my heart.

Kori's Fund Raiser was on August 8th.
We made posters to announce it.
They were super lame, but that was my assignment and so I had to follow through

But the day of the event,  one of the Salons went the extra mile and had a professional sign made.  Dad and Raleigh went ahead of us to set up the posters and we followed behind them with the balloons.   This is what I pulled up to...  My husband up on a pillar hanging a sign.  This is SO significant to me.  Because he just helps me all the time....  willingly.....  without complaint.   That didn't happen in my former life.  And so when I see him doing things like this, it makes my heart so full and I got all teary in the parking lot.....
But then when I walked into the salon and saw 100 people waiting to have their hair cut,  I burst into tears and looked like an idiot.  I was so overwhelmed at the support and love people extended to our family.
The event raised thousands of dollars.
It was amazing
Allie cut off 12 inches of her hair and we donated it to Locks of Love in Kori's name.
She only cried for 10 minutes.
But, it looks really cute and much healthier.
Plus, it's beautiful thick hair and it will make a nice wig for someone in need.

Peyton's birthday was our next event.   We always celebrate her birthday in Pine Valley.
She loves it because she thinks it's camping
She got a new back pack and doughnuts and apples and school clothes.   That is what she asked for.

Celebrated her REAL birthday with a BIG yogurt
And of course a SHOT
followed by a trip to Target for a reward

First Day of school 2015
Allie is an 8th grader this year and is at the Middle School
 Morgan is a Junior
And Peyton had her assessment today
She did very well....
but of course she is the cutest Kindergartner in the school

since I didn't write that last comment I am assuming that Mom was logged in as me.
My comment is as follows:
Busy month!! lots of fun and exciting things going on in the family.
I can't believe Pey is going to school. The littles are growing up so fast! Fun b-day celebration...sorry to have missed it.
I feel so out of the loop with your fam now that we are no longer clubbin it up together.
