Morgan's friends somehow managed to get tickets to
the Saturday Morning session of conference and invited
her to come up and go with them.
She said "I need a new dress."
I said "I/the Easter Bunny already got you an Easter Dress and I am not buying
you another one."
Then she manipulated me into showing her the Easter Dress.
And then she cast a spell on me and I, for some reason
allowed her to take it on her trip.
She is going to feel so bad on Easter morning when she
wakes up and discovers that the Easter Bunny left her a used dress
with Northern Utah ice cream drippings all over it.
The boys attended the Priesthood Session and we
made our traditional after conference desserts.
We were missing the Hyde's, who were up North for
**Grant's** Gymnastics meet.
Kami literally played spin the eggs with the kids for a solid
hour while we were waiting for the men to arrive.
She kept learning new ways to perfect her skills.
And she didn't even feel bad when she would destroy them.
Ryker LOVES lip cream more than life
** Speaking of my nephew, Grant....
He just became Snow Canyon High School's first
male cheerleader. He is going to be so cute.
I can't wait to go watch him perform.
Ryker went to the doctor for his
Kindergarten physical.
He wasn't upset or scared and took his shots
like a champ. But, the next morning, when Raleigh
was getting him ready to go to Sandra's he said...
"I can't wear shorts, Dad... geez!!!!!"
Raleigh said "why?"
And he screamed and threw up his arms in disgust...
"BECAUSE OF MY BROKEN LEGS... my gosh did you forget?"
It was so funny.

New Kitchen Table
New Kitchen Table
I wanted a new kitchen table.
I described the table I was wanting to Raleigh.
And he said that he thought he could turn our old table
into the exact table I was imagining.
And he did for an eighth of the cost of a new one
I am so in love.
It makes our kitchen look bigger
and cleaner
"Woman.... I swear I will spray paint all over you if you don't stop
taking pictures of me."
My super hot lover invited me to go to
a fireside with him on a Tuesday night.
We heard John Bytheway.
It was so fun. But the best part was that
he asked me to go to a fireside.
He's pretty fabulous.

The doctor scheduled surgery for
two days later.
The stone is 6X8mm.
And was too big to remove, so he has to go
back for another surgery on May 12th.
I am just so proud of him because last year
he couldn't even have his blood drawn and this
year, he walked into the hospital by himself
and let them put in an IV and had himself some surgery
My mom posts about KK at lease three times
a week on Instagram. If we all weren't so in love
with her, we'd be rolling our eyes. But we are and we
love the posts.
A lady in my mom's ward who follows her on Instagram
and has come to know KK very well.
One day, she brought a box to my mom's house
to give to the little granddaughter that she always
posts about. She could tell that her personality
was perfect for the contents in the box.
Inside the box was a bear
and 12 of the most beautifully. perfectly
sewn outfits with unspeakable detail.
I cannot write words adequate enough to
describe them. If I were to put a cash amount
on items in the box, it would be in the hundreds of
dollars. There are some really thoughtful
people in this world, not to mention
talented.
KK has to leave Bailey the Bear at Papa and Nana's
house, but she can play with her any time she
is there.

Allie achieved the High Honor Roll
with a 4.0 for 9th grade.
She stole a dress from Morgan's
closet and looked darling as she walked up
to accept her medal and certificate.
She walks like a jock and I love it.
The best part about it is...
She is completely self-motivated.
And she works hard... not because she
thinks it's what I want... but because it's
what she wants
Our three little kids had the stomach flu in April.
They are amazing children.
All three of them took care of themselves.
They didn't bother us. They just threw up
multiple times, in the bathroom, all on their own.
No complaining.... no tears.
So when every one was well, we rewarded them
by buying them 100s of water balloons and we
had a big fight in the backyard.
Ryker said... "I can't wait to get the
flu again."
Crysti started hair school this month.
She asked KK to be her model for one
of her tests. Her hair turned out beautifully.
It's so fun to have all these talented sisters.
Ryker started T-ball.
It is the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life
and we LOVE going to his games.
The entire team clumps together around the pitcher's mound.
Then the batter hits the ball and the clump
runs after the ball churning up a wild cloud of dust.
Someone by pure luck (no skill whatsoever)
comes up with the ball. And then that child, instead
of throwing the ball to first base or home plate, will
hold the ball up and yell over to the stands...
"I caught it, mom"
Meanwhile, the batter is running the bases.
Raleigh was nominated to be the coach
by all of the other dad's who didn't want to step up.
Their reason for nominating him was because
he was wearing a Nike shirt
and so naturally he must know everything there
is to know about how to coach T-ball.

Project #3
Finding New Employment
I have worked in the same industry for a lot of years.
It is a very difficult job and the environment is extremely negative.
It was taking a toll on me. Some days, I would have to drive
around for 20 minutes before going home, so that I didn't
take the negativity of my job home with me.
It was so hard.
I started praying in January, very sincerely, that I would
be able to find a new job. Or more specifically, that a new job
would magically fall into my lap. Because I certainly didn't have any
time to go in search of a new one.
I know that it doesn't happen that way. I know that one needs
to move one's feet in order to make things happen in one's life.
Nevertheless, I still prayed 3-4 times a day for a miracle.
One day, I was just minding my own business and Raleigh
came into the bathroom.
He said that he had just heard of a job opportunity that I
might like and I should look into it.
Well I did. I researched the company and the job.
I knew that I was more than qualified because it was
essentially the very same thing that I was currently doing
but on a much more classy and professional level.
I interviewed and they liked me.
They offered me the job.
And I was physically ill for 2 days.
The bottom line is.... you CANNOT ask for something 3-4
times a day and then ignore it when it comes to you.
I am not a risk taker and so this is so scary for me.
It's hard to walk into the unknown and go from where
I know everything and am really good at it... to where
I am having to learn new things and feel out of control.
But, I had to make a change. It's time for me to put
positivity back into my life again.
It's time for me to ditch that worklife and start over.
This is the face I make when I make big decisions
and change up my routine that I have worked so
hard to establish.
I have been with these people for four years.
I spend more time with them than I do my own kids.
It's sad.
We've been through a lot.
I am sure I will have plenty to report on in May
Stay tuned.........

The last day of school before Easter Break

Traditionally, Raleigh and Papa go

Every year, it is warm and sunny.
For three weeks, we watched a
huge lump on KK's side. It changed shape, color
and size. I was kindof/very nervous, but Dr. Raleigh
kept assuring me that it would be okay if I would
just be patient. Every night, when I would put
lotion on her, I would look over at Raleigh with a
worried look. And he would say... "be patient."
One morning, she came in and said
"in the night, my lump just popped and stuff came out."
I looked, and she had a big hole in her side
and the lump was flat.
I was SO relieved.
(The hole was the size of a large BB hole)
And at least a teaspoon of puss came out.
And it got worse before it got better.
So. disgusting.
Thank goodness for Neosporin
Easter 2017 was beautiful and warm this year.
We had coordinated outfits.
Our ward was awesome and planned a
missionary homecoming on Easter Sunday and
there were no seats.... well not for a family of 7.
So, we called Nana and asked if we could come
to her ward. We even got to sit in soft seats.

Buying a New Car
Everyone who truly knows the Lunds, knows that
there isn't a family in the world that needed a new
car more than us. Our suburban had a million miles
on it when we bought it 6 years ago. And then we drove
it all over creation. And it served our family of nine well....
even though it was only an 8 seater. We had so many
good times in that car. But, it was about to give up the
ghost. And so Raleigh drove up to Lindon
one Friday and came home 8 hours later with a beautiful truck
and a beautiful (uh-hem) car payment.
We haven't known a car payment for 6 years.
But, it will serve our family of 7 well, even though it's
only a 6 seater.
Brayden wasn't feeling well.
So he went to instacare. They did
a bunch of tests on him to see what the problem could be.
Then they sent him to the
emergency room and he found that he
had a very large kidney stone.
It was too big for him to pass. The doctor scheduled surgery for
two days later.
The stone is 6X8mm.
And was too big to remove, so he has to go
back for another surgery on May 12th.
I am just so proud of him because last year

I woke up this morning and thought....OMGosh, it's May 2nd and I haven't looked at Kaci's blog!!!! I jumped right up and ran to the computer. Once again, it did not disappoint!! I so look forward to reading about your life each month, even though I've lived through (almost) each one of the events. The one that I was not aware of this month was...Peyton getting the "Sharpen the Saw" award!! I'm so happy for her!! I'm sure she exemplifies all of the 7 Habits...she's just that kind of kid!!
Thanks for sharing your never dull life. It's an amazing time, everyday, at the Lunds!!! I sure do love all of you!!!
