International Womens Day is in March, I am told. Our boss took a few of us out into the lobby to take our picture for some reason. Our office is VERY female heavy. There isn't a ton of testosterone. Good and bad comes from that. For the most part, in our office it is good. I don't know how I feel about International Women's Day. But I am glad that I am a woman. Mostly because that means I don't have to be married to a woman. That can't be fun.
Right at the beginning of the month, I got to send my Good, Better, Best
proposal to another owner.
They chose GOOD.
I was NOT expecting that.
At first I was really disappointed and I went in to lament to my boss.
But she quickly made me feel good about it.
She said... you need to experience a GOOD, so you know what to do with it.
She was right.
Good means that all I do is STAGE.
I bring in all the decor, stage the home for photos and take it all back out.
It is SO much work. It is physically exhausting and kind of mentally hard too.
Good is NOT IDEAL.
Not ideal because the home upon arrival will look nothing like the photos.
There is potential for huge disappointment.
But, my staging turned out really well and the photos are 1000% better than they were before.
So far, since January 1, I have generated $450 to an unplanned revenue stream
for our company with this little business endeavor.
It is such a win-win that NO ONE can dispute.
I have total job satisfaction as a result. I actually say the words....
"I LOVE MY JOB"
and I am increasing bookings for these owners AND income to our company.
Rachel, my old assistant who left us to have a baby
finally brought little Harper to the office to meet all of us.
She was serious and confused by all of the big faces coming so close to her
But, it was really fun to see them both
Raleigh's truck was having a hard time shifting from first to second gear.
It would jerk sometimes during the shift.
He was nervous that he was just a few months away from a transmission
replacement, so he bought a new truck, to avoid that expense.
He made the purchase two nights before our little getaway up North
for Makayla Zullo's homecoming.
It was a very pleasant trip on a rainy Saturday.
We listened to True Crime Podcasts on the way up.
We ate a lovely hamburger at our favorite place, JCWs
and bought new shoes at the Nike Outlet.
I wanted to and was totally prepared to spend lots of money
on some new clothes, but unfortunately OR MAYBE fortunately
I couldn't find anything at all to buy. It was kind of sad how NOT cute
the clothes were in every store I went into.
Then we met Allie at Gurus down in Provo Center Street.
We shared a plate of the most delicious Sweet Potato Fries.
And had the greatest conversation for over two hours.
She took this picture of us to show us that the camera on her
VERY UNSMART Blackberry phone that she is currently using
is capable of taking a decent enough picture.
She has cut herself off completey from social media in an effort to
focus her attention on more important things. She is on the fast track
program in college to have her Master's Degree in 4 years.
She hopes to one day be an Anthropology Professor.
On Sunday, we had the best day visiting with friends.
Makayla's Homecoming talk was one of the best I have ever heard.
She is a completly different person than she was 18 months ago.
She is so mature, spiritual, grounded and amazing.
I am so glad we made the trip up to attend.
I really loved this weekend SO much.
It was so fun to spend a couple of days with Rals alone.
We had so much fun together and it was relaxing and beautiful in the
rain.
I got the opportunity later in the month to decorate an 8 bedroom
home in Desert Color. It was a HUGE job, but I had the best time.
I loved the way it all turned out and the photos are gorgeous.
What a wonderful blessing. I am so lucky that I get to do this.
We ended the month back up North.
We were so blessed to be invited to come up to go to the Orem Temple
with Savanna.
I took Friday off and we left very early in the morning so we could be up to the
outlet mall right when it opened so that Walt could get the very best shoes
The Nike store had to offer.
Actually, we all found new shoes that we could not live without.
Then we moved on to the Orem Mall where we met up with Allie
We then added to our group and met Mom and Dad
and Brent and Kami at Texas Roadhouse
Where Walt ordered a meal that was bigger than his head...
And he has a really big head
The temple could not have been better.
The decor was darling, not as cute as the Red Cliffs Temple,
but my favorite part was the chairs.
The material had the cutest pattern with little red flowers.
I loved them
The weather that day was SO cold, windy and rainy and very dark.
I am so glad that we were able to go and be with them on this special day.
The we drove home in a blizzard.
It was a little bit scary, but so beautiful.
I am glad that everyone made it home safely

I am so grateful for so many things that happened to our family in March.
I really love my family SO much
