The other day, I was just sitting at work, minding my own business and my friend, Trevor and I had a conversation that went something like this...
T- "hey, you have a basement... want a pool table?"
K- "it's always been my life long dream to own a pool table"
T- "well I have one for you if you want it."
K- "is it like a table top one?"
T "Ummmmmm.....No it's worth like $2500.00. And it's pretty new"
K- "What's the catch?"
T- "My friend just wants to get rid of it. If you can move it out of her house, you can have it."
K- "How much do they want for it?" Cuz I'll trade Allison straight across for it?"
T- "They don't want any payment for it. They just want it gone"
Well, hell's bells. Nothing like this ever happens to me. I haven't caught a lucky windfall like EVER. I being the skeptic that I am refused to believe it. But we called the lady and sure enough it was on the up and up. They are moving and they don't want to move it. And it would cost an arm and a leg to pay someone to do it for them, so they will consider it us saving them money. And you know me, I like to help out wherever I can being service oriented and all. So, Mr. and Mrs. Lund of Eagle Mountain are the proud owners of a pretty new pool table that we paid a big fat doughnut for.
Come over and shoot a round any ole time you wanna. But I will warn you, we are fine tuning our skills and we can't promise we won't hustle ya. It's a risk you may just have to take for having a good time in the Lund Theater/Pool Hall.

Congratulations on your lucky grab! I think that is so exciting. I love getting things for free! Then you don't feel guilty if you don't use it as much as you should to get your money's worth.

Oh Kac... I laughed out loud and HARD at the Allison comment. I hear ya on that one, sistah! Do you think I could get a pool table AND a dartboard? See, I've got this set of twins...
Did I ever tell you that we were on bowling league. Yep, we were! And at that bowling alley were pool tables and let me tell you I could own ya all at this pool table:) I think Brian and I will jump in the car and head on up with Brent and Kam!
