Now you're up to speed

Here are the little updates of our little family for the month of April...

1. Quincey made the cheerleading squad. She worked for an entire week at cheer clinic and then for hours and hours at home. She is a darling girl with a cute little cheerleading body and if you were voted onto a squad on looks, she would for sure make it. But, she had to try out with moves and jumps. She was doing fine on her own, but at the very last minute, she humbled herself and asked Morgan to help her. 45 minutes in the basement and Morgan had turned a good cheerleader into a sharp, refined, perfected shoe-in. And now, I have to come up with $400.00 by May 1st. What the...???

2. Brayden was recruited for the Golf Team. They are doing golf right now in PE. So, Monday was the first day of the unit and the class was all lined up with clubs in hand. And Brayden, I am sure was goofing around and didn't hear the coach say "wait until I call your name to hit the ball." So, Goofy steps up to his ball way before the coach had called ANY names and smacks the crap out of it. And the class went silent. Then they all started saying things like "you weren't supposed to hit it yet. Didn't you hear the coach say...wait" and the next thing he hears is... "BRAYDEN get over here." He walked with his head down, over to the coach to get detention or whatever punishment was coming to him. And when he got there the coach says "want to be on the golf team? You have the most beautiful, natural swing I have ever seen and with a little coaching you'd be really good." Brayden goes "sure" and walks away.

3. Raleigh had a very successful Physical Inventory at work. He has recently stepped into a new position and he has done nothing but dominate it since the first day. I am so proud of him. I want to say that I confidently knew he could do it, but to be honest with you for the entire week following inventory I had MASSIVE diarrhea. And I was a nervous wreck. But he has taken that position/department from the near worst in the district to the near best. And has quite a reputation among the district as having the cleanest and most organized warehouse. Quite frankly as a warehouse employee myself, I am kinda sick of hearing how beautiful Orem's warehouse is. But, he continues to do things that convince me that I am married to the most perfect man on the planet.

4. And finally, mostly everyone knows by now but we are expecting again. I am due at the very first part of November. Anyway, it has been somewhat of a scary pregnancy. I SHOULD be a pro at this by now, but I was thrown a few curve balls in the beginning. I had massive cramping and I bled for over two weeks and so I thought I was having a miscarriage. I kept praying that I could have the spirit with me, so that I could handle the sadness of the loss. But the strongest feelings kept coming over me that comfort wasn't needed at this time because everything was fine with my baby.
I refused to believe it because my body was showing every sign that it wasn't okay. And my doctor, who remember is amazing did test after test and kept reassuring me that I was his favorite older mother and that he wasn't giving up and so neither should I.
Well two ultrasounds and 5 blood tests later, we have a cute little 12 week old baby with two visible arms, hands, legs and feet and the best part... a cute little wildly beating heart. I love HIM already. HIM, HIM, HIM. Or a her would be fine too. But a HIM would be better.
And so.... yeah.... 15 months apart they will be. And they will need to be close because they are going to need to take care of their dad who will still be alive for 10 to 15 years after his OLD LADY wife. Poor little kids... their mom will be 56 and 57 at their high school graduations. But I am determined that I will be the sexiest grandma there!!!!!!!!!! Mark my words.

Attention: Catherine Coe Callan... this is still a huge secret to our Best Buy friends. You, me and Emery know and that is all for a while longer. While my family and friends are happy I would like to spare myself the ridicule and jokes about me being a baby factory for as long as I can. We can talk in secret any time though, you know I love our talks.

And that is all... for NOW.

WOW! What a great month you've had. Don't you wish they were all like this? But I guess if they were, we wouldn't appreciate these really wonderful times. Another great thing is that it's getting warmer and that should make all the kids happy knowing that summer is coming soon. Well thanks for the update (although I really knew about all this but it was still fun to read). Let's make every month just as happy as this one.

Congratulations, that is so exciting! Morgan had such a good time with you yesterday. Even though she thought you were her Aunt Kathy, hahaha.

Wow what an amazing month! Congrats to Quincey, Brayden, your hubby and his awesome job, and to both of you and your new little addition ont the way! Oh and by the way you are not an old mom. We have several ladies in our ward having children at our ages. Good grief your not old at all and how I know that is that I'm not old so your not old:)

I'm very happy and excited for you and all of your good news!

Take Care,
JoLynn

P.S. I was thinking about you this morning and wondering if now that you've been home and had a couple of weeks to absorb everything after seeing Debbie, do you think it helped? I was just curious.

Congrats to everyone! Holy Cow what a month!! I am so proud of Bray and Quin. It will be fun to come up and watch them both. Quinners long skinny legs in a short cheer skirt will alone be worth the drive.
Man how will this month compare?? Gee wiz!

Jeeze, you have a talented family. It sounds like everyone is doing so awesome. I'm so glad that all of your tests came back normal--how scary to have bleeding and cramps in the beginning. My sister-in-law (due in June) has had that same problem, bless her heart. They can't figure out why and she's been in pain pretty much the whole time. But how exciting to have another little one on the way! My mom says you look great. Are you guys going to do the Fetal Fotos again?

The Jazz game was awesome! We definitely got way lucky to get those tickets. And Fasenko is really growing on me, he's getting better; I loved your comment about his interviews, haha!
