By way of Reporting...

We had another fabulous week...

Raleigh had yet another successful Inventory last Sunday. He prepares for the big day for 7 weeks. But, his store did very well and he received a lot of praise including a special visit from our district manager on Saturday. I am so proud of him. He works so hard and everyone knows it. I love that we have really good jobs.

Brayden is feeling much better after having a near death experience with either the Swine Flu or a sinus infection. This is what he looked like for 96 hours. I kept checking on him to see if he was breathing. Poor kid missed 3 days of school that he now has to make up. I hate when my kids are sick.

Quincey is studying Anne Frank and watched the movie yesterday in school. She came in to our room last night at 10:00, we were laying in bed and she gave me a rare and very sweet hug and then said "I want you two to know that I am very grateful for my life and for all you do for me." I love it when my kids see the light.

Morgan has been flitting around from friend to friend working on back handsprings and high kicks. We ordered her bedding for her "new room" a darling Steve Madden comforter. That we BOTH love. Let the decorating begin. The possibilities are endless. I can't wait for the final product. I enjoy a challenge and I love change.

Allison is happy that the snow is melted so that she can finally use the Heelies that Aunt Kori gave her for Christmas. She also meets several boys at the park every day and plays basketball. Yay spring. I am grateful that we can be outdoors again.

Peyton is enjoying her new clubs. And she is a non stop talker. She says the cutest words. She points to every person in the family picture and says their name. Sorry Brent, for some reason she calls you "HawKoo". We don't understand why. But, Brayden called Kori "Oh Ahhh" for a really long time. And we just embraced it. I love it when my babies start communicating with me.

Kaleigh had a nasty reaction to her four month immunizations, but she is back to her sweet smiling self. How did we get another perfect baby??? I don't know. I love my good little sleeper.

My dad is recovering very nicely from his horrifying surgery. And test results came back "cancer free". I have been worrying about him from a distance. I am grateful for answers to prayers, but more importantly for a sweet feeling of peace during this very scary time. I love the complete love and support that my parents offer us. What would we do without them?

As for me... I had the greatest day with my husband on Monday. It is a day that I will always treasure. I love him for who he is and for what he does for my life. He is a blessing to me every day. I don't tell him often enough how much I love him. But, I am so lucky that he loves me and that I get to be a part of his life.

We are all truly blessed and have so much to be thankful for.

Garrett had swine flu last year and never moved from the couch for 7 days. It was very scary. I am glad Bray is feeling better. Hopefully, you will have another great week. SUPER CUTE bed set...I am a little jealous! Morgan will feel so cute in that room.
I think we all should call Brent Haw-koo...it kinda fits him. Sounds like a sneeze which he is doing A LOT of these allergy days!

URFAVE 5+A Few said...: SO glad to hear that you are all doing well! I'm glad that Bray is feeling better-poor boy! That sounds just awful! I love Morgan's cute bedding. It will be darling! I love what Peyton calls Brent I am with Kami I think it kind of fits him. Maybe I'll start calling him Haw-Koo:) I am also glad that you and your hubby are doing so well and so happy.

Who we are, where we've been and where we are going

We are the Lunds. And some of us are Koenigs. And this is our life. I am Kaci and I am the creator/author/historian of this blog. What I write, I write with two goals in mind... To keep my family totally and completely involved in all of our doings and to keep a record of our life events. That is all it is...

I had four children from a previous marriage as well as a whole lot of baggage. And maybe that might have discouraged a lesser man from pursuing me, but luckily for me the stars aligned and a very good, honest, brave, not to mention super sexy boy took a chance on me. And pursue me he did... to flattering proportions.

In 2008, I married the Love of My Life. I didn't know being married could be this wonderful and happy. I didn't know that being in love feels like THIS. I didn't know that truly being loved and correctly taken care of is the greatest blessing a girl can have in her life. I thank my Heavenly Father a few times a day for guiding my path to the greatest of my treasures. It was a rough and long road but so worth the journey.

In 2009, we had our Sweet Peyton. She is a Lund all the way from her confidence level and mild mannered disposition right on down to her perfectly round and rather large head. What a blessing she is to our home and our life.

In 2010, we had Kaleigh. She is little and darling but don't let her tiny stature fool you. This girl can take care of herself. She climbs on EVERYTHING!!! And is afraid of NOTHING!

What a complete joy she has been, our little elf.

And in 2011, we had Ryker. We weren't really sure what to do with a boy. It's been a long time. But he is the exclamation point on our little family and we love him with all of our hearts.

My "big kids" (I call them), mean the world to me. I could not do this without them. They make me laugh, keep me young, make me feel pretty, lighten my load, make me proud, love me anyway and challenge me too. We've been through a lot,

the five of us, but they are superior kids because they've weathered the storm.

We are a pretty crazy and energetic family. There are constant comings and goings and hysterical happenings. These are our stories. And they are all true. Flowered up maybe, but certainly true.
