AND.....
What makes it worse is my personality and my nature and my need to have some sort of control over some aspects of my life create chaos where chaos doesn't need to be.
So the irony of the situation is this... In my attempt to make things easy and smooth, I make things stressful and hard.
Let me break down the past six weeks of our unbelievably complicated life made more complicated by yours truly. (Or if I'm being totally honest, how it was a flawless experience because we are supposed to be here and Heavenly Father guided our every move.)
The following story is a testimony of faith, belief in our Heavenly Father's love for us and moving your feet to get what you want out of your life.)
June 20th Raleigh comes home and says there is a job down in St. George that he is going to apply for. It doesn't open until the end of July, but he thinks he will get it. I start crying. How can we move? Brayden is a senior this year. We own our home. We have 7 children. We have 17 rooms that are full of furniture and stuff. We have jobs HERE. And the list and the crying went on and on. He gives me two very compelling reason for us to get the heck out of Northern Utah that I could not argue with and so...
June 21st I put in two resumes at two companies because I only had six weeks to find a job.
June 22nd I get a call from one of the companies
June 23rd I have a phone interview
June 25th I have another phone interview
June 29th They call and offer me the job (sight unseen, good thing for them I'm not covered in warts)
AND I ACCEPTED IT! See, I'm a mess!! What am I doing? Raleigh hasn't even interviewed yet.
July 2-6th I come down to St. George for a week to train at my new job, while I am still employed with Best Buy. And the worst part is... I LOVED it. It is my dream job. And I am so sad all week long because I can't fully enjoy it. And can't start loving the people. I can't feel excited about setting up my office. Every time I learn a new aspect or grasp a concept, I can't even feel victorious because I'm not completely sure I'm coming back.
Also, while we are in St. George training, I start looking for houses. I find one. It's big!! It's gorgeous!! And I want to live there. I fill out all the paperwork and pay a LARGE down payment. See, Nutso!! Raleigh doesn't have the job.
July 7th I return to work at Best Buy for the next two weeks. I wanted to put in my two weeks notice, but MY HUSBAND HASN'T EVEN APPLIED YET!!! See Crazy. So, I work as if nothing is weird, pretending that I'm not leaving for good in two weeks (fingers crossed). Pretending that I'm not going to leave them high and dry. I'm the only one in the whole store who knows how to do my job, I'm the only one who knows how to do what I do.
July 16th We meet the old owners of our new home and sign all the paperwork in the bleachers of the ball field at Raleigh's softball game. Keep in mind, Raleigh does not have a job in St. George.
July 18th I have the kids transcripts sent to various St. George schools, cancel upcoming doctor's appointments, make Morgan an appointment at a St. George Orthodontist.
July 19th Raleigh works all day. Leaves from work to drive down to St. George. Interviews late that night. Spends the night at my parents house and after filling his belly with Nana's famous Belgian Waffles drives back home.
July 20th The WHOLE family... I mean the whole family is on pins and needles. We were all fasting. We don't know what to do with ourselves, so we just walked around the house looking at each other. The kids were sitting on my bed when he walked in... "No news yet, family" he says as he walks in the room. And our hearts sank.
At 2:00pm Raleigh is offered the position. And we all breathe a sigh of relief and immediately begin packing. The house was packed and cleaned by Sunday morning.
July 22nd I leave with Morgan, Peyton and Ryker and have a blowout. (Refer to two posts back). My dad comes to rescue us at the Nephi Wendy's. We arrive in St. George at midnight.
July 23rd I report back to my dream job for week #2 of training at 7:00am
July 26th Raleigh and the rest of the kids join us with TWO U-haul trucks filled to the end with all of our belongings.
Here is Raleigh arriving with the second truck
So happy to be together
Just before we started to unload
Are we supposed to be here? There is not one doubt in my mind. Our house is fabulous. Our ward is unbelievable. Since we have been here we have had more visits from ward members than we did the entire time we lived in Eagle Mountain
My HUGE master bathroom The only room that is kind of decorated
The girls have a gigantic, fenced in backyard with a jungle gym and a fish pond and grass to run on and they stay inside.
And he will. And then you know without a shadow of a doubt that he loves you and knows what you need to make your lives better. Pheeeeeeeewwwwwwwww!!!

Is your new house? Did you sell your eagle Mtn home? Are your kids happy to be back south?
Well that just about sums up one of the most stressful months in my life as well!! What a nightmare! BUT this nightmare has a happy ending, for which I am sooooo thankful. I think there are still a few i's to be dotted and t's to be crossed but, overall, things are falling into place. We're so happy to have our whole family right here "under the same roof".
Wow!! I'm so shocked too. You had me on pins and needles just reading this post. Congrats on all your exciting changes. Glad things fell into place the way they did.
I love this post so much! I am so happy for you and your new house, new job, and new life with your family in the same town! And your house looks soooo gorgeous! You are so blessed and I love how much faith your hubby had in himself, your ability to get a job { you are so dang employable obviously} and in God
GREAT story! Congratulations
Despite the fact that I read your blog all the time, it's been awhile since I left a comment. I read this post and was bawling by the time I got to the end. You are such an amazing example to me. Thank you for sharing your experience so that I can be reminded yet again of something that I already know is true... I know that I am loved and watched over and cared for and buoyed up every day, but my Father in Heaven can't guide my path unless I MOVE MY FEET!!!
And I do believe that we are now about 5 or 6 hours closer to each other... and that a sister of mine lives in the same city... ooooh, I can just FEEL the air tangible with possibilities!
I love you Kac.
Congratulations on this big exciting move. I am so happy for you guys! I have to say that I was a wreck reading this post. Thank you for this testimony building post.
SO SO SO happy to have the Lunds in St George...now H.E.L.L. is complete!
However this does not mean that you can post pictures that clearly show my pit sweat and swoob action??? Alothough it makes me look like I did more than stand around watching others carry loads back and forth from the truck to the house. I think I carries some hangers in and put them in the wrong location?? Oh well...
Welcome home...it is so exciting to have all of us together again.
Another post that was a lot more fun to read than live through. I swear my children are going to be the death of me!! This has been a very stressful experience and something tells me that it's not quite over yet but I'm sure in a year or so we'll look back and have very fond memories.
We are so happy to have your sweet family near us once again. It does feel very "right". We look forward to all the exciting days ahead.
I love this post as well. We are going through a similar experience.
But it is reversed. We also aren't changing jobs. It is always amazing to me how we are blessed if we just follow the promptings. I am so happy you are in St. George. It's so nice to be near family.
