I LOVE sports. I think I always have. My dad didn't have sons and so he taught his daughters to love to watch sports with him. They have been a big part of our family my whole life. I remember vividly going to watch Martina Navratalova and Chris Everett Lloyd play tennis on an indoor court. I don't remember where we were living at the time. I remember going to the 1984 BYU Holiday Bowl where they won the National Championship. I remember going to BYU vs. UCLA gymnastic meets and Angel's games and a Lakers Game.
Then I married Raleigh and the love affair has only grown. We've been to too many Jazz Games to count including a game in Arizona. And Utah Football and BYU Football and basketball games. Plus I get to watch him play, which is just as thrilling.
It is so fun to get cozy and watch a great game. I am so happy when the sound of Football fills our house. I don't care who is playing. I just love the sound of it.
It's such an advantage to have common interests with your husband that he REALLY enjoys. It makes marriage that much more fun. And so I am glad that I was raised how I was raised and that I truly do enjoy watching with him.

By default I, too, became a sports lover. In the beginning of our marriage I didn't know a home run from a touchdown but I loved watching Dad play and it just grew from there. Now I probably watch more sports than your dad does and I definitely know whose playing and what time! I, like you, have had many happy times at sports events. I'm thankful for sports too.
I'm watching UCLA/USC right now. I enjoy sports as well. We should go to a game together sometime :-) don't ya think?
I love sports now but I haven't always loved them like I do now. As the years have gone on and my boys have become more involved in playing and watching sports I've got to where I love it!
You know I have ALWAYS loved sports...to play, watch...whatever. I am also thankful for a husband who is "obsessed" with them. This obsession I can deal with. :) However...the watching love has dwindled a bit now that a sporting event is constantly on both TV's, on tablet and radio at any given time. I find myself trying to escape the crowds, commentators, bad calls and replays. Brent would DIE if he knew I felt this way. :)
