If only I were a swearer......... oh wait, I AM

I went to the dentist on Monday to have what was described to me as a simple procedure.  My insurance covered all but $24.67 of it, so that verified that it was, in fact, simple and implied that very little labor or instruments would be involved.  I tolerated the injection like a champ.  And I was so numb that I was drooling and didn't even have a clue.  Which is a very good thing at the dentist.

He got to work on me and the 20 minute procedure turned into two hours with the dentist taking two breaks to exercise his cramped fingers and then to top it off, he had to give me an additional injection because the first one was wearing off.

I felt nothing during the visit, but imagined in my head about the excruciating amounts of pain I was going to be in upon the morrow and planned on calling my boss and telling him that I would not be able to work the next day.

Miraculously, I woke up and felt nothing.  And I bounced in to work.

Fast forward to Thursday
.......................................................

I feel the need to plead my case a little....

1.  I have borne seven children
2.  I have done so by C Section three of those seven times
3.  Two, of my vaginal births were conducted without any medication of any kind... Not by my choice, mind you.... I am not like "that".  Circumstances just fell ever so cruelly, NOT in my favor.  Earning me nothing more than some bragging rights.... so here I am..... bragging....... in an attempt to prove that............... given my resume.......

I am not a wimp.
I am not a wuss.
I pride myself on my abnormally high pain tolerance

But never in my life have I experienced anything like the pain I am in right now.  I am unable to hold a collected thought in my head.  I am irrational in my perception of my future...  like I am certain that this pain will go on forever, without end for the rest of my days.  I cannot even remember a time in my life when my entire head didn't hurt.  And I promise you if I live another minute, I am going to give up the ghost before this night is over.  I have several drugs that were prescribed to me during the recoveries of the afore mentioned C Sections.  It's a beautiful collection.   And 'nery a pill was consumed.   In fact, every one of the seals on every one of the bottles is still in tact...
 BUT NOT TONIGHT!!!
 I am contemplating an overdose.

Raleigh is telling me that I have to wait for him to get home, so he can be there to take care of the kids....  I say.... who cares about the kids!!!!!!!  We are raising them with the intention of all three of them being self sufficient, why not start tonight.  Seems there's no time like the present to test their abilities.   They are old enough to get their own drinks and if they get hungry, there's dry cereal on the bottom shelf of the pantry that they can help themselves to.   Peyton knows how to navigate the electronics better than anyone in the house.  They'll be fine........  Mama needs to go to La La Land for the next 24 hours.

I am in the eleventh circle of hell!!
Someone please come shoot me
in my big fat swollen head!!

I feel so bad for you ! If you were not so darn funny I would be crying along with you, but that aunt Jamima towel on your head is so cute! I am praying you feel much much better and I have some REALLY strong kidney stone drugs I would be willing to risk jail time to ship you. They have a high street value so if you end up not needing them they could be sold to pay for the nanny for a few days
Feel better ! Hope you are in la la land. I like it there

I'm so sorry. I was nervous from the get-go that you might get a dry socket (you know Murphy's Law 'n all). They are so painful but it should start feeling better by tomorrow. I'm happy to see that you haven't lost your sense of humor. We're praying for you.
