Happy Birthday, Mom

For mom's birthday, all she wanted was a dinner night out with her daughters.  We rarely get to get together.  When we do, the conversation is different..... obviously...... than when we are with the boys.  Tonight, the conversation was much needed.  And I am so grateful for these girls. 

(Don't mind me, I had been crying on and off for the whole dinner and don't mind my sister, Erykah Badu/ Marcie Dahlgren-Frost.  She is the only one of us who could pull something like that off.)

My mom is the greatest!!!  There is no one more in love with her children than my mom and there is no one more supportive.  There are not very many hours out of her day that she isn't doing something for one of us.  

I personally couldn't do MY LIFE without her and my dad.  I need them.  Which is why we are here, so they can help me love my children.  We are so lucky to live by family who loves us and who would drop anything that they are doing to help us.  

My mom has taught us to be conscientious and articulate.  She taught us to be on time,  to be wearing the appropriate clothing and to pay attention to details.  She has taught us to love the gospel and the words of the prophet.  

She helps us when we are struggling and is there for us NO MATTER WHAT.   

It is a blessing and a privilege to be her daughter.  I am so glad I picked her to be my mom.

P.S.  Thanks to my dad, who took our husbands out to Burgers,  while we were at dinner.  I hear they had a great time.  I bet the conversation was considerably different.  aka: I am positive NONE of them cried because they are feeling guilty that they don't go to Enrichment Night and HATE going visiting teaching!!
