March was awesome. We have had SO much rain this year so far and I don't care what anyone says about their "seasonal depression"... that is hogwash. Dark Rainy Days are simply the best. I just love that kind of weather. I love going an looking our the front window of our office. You can see almost the entire city because we are on a hill and it looks so gorgeous when the dark clouds are low and the streets are wet and you know it is so cold out there, but it's warm where you are. Oh man... it is the best.

We enjoyed several series' on Netflix and Paramount and Hulu this month, while we stayed in at night. We are especially loving "The Chosen". It is SO good! I cry almost every episode and I love Jesus even more now. I just know He will be exactly like that. And don't even get me started on Simon-Peter. Who simply has to be my kindred spirit. He is SO outspoken and gets himself into a ton of trouble, but at the end of the day, is completely loyal and is the consumate "go to." I want to be just like that. Jesus loved him endlessly INSPITE of his personality flaws.
Jason lives on a farm. They raise goats. Every year when the new goats are born, he brings the brand new babies into the office. I could not believe how calm and loving they were. I casually mentioned to Rals that the goats would be in the office at 2:00 and how I thought KK would love them. And he said (totally unprovoked) do you want me to pull the girls out of school and bring them over? He never does that. I am so glad he did. They LOVED them. It was a great day for them.
No one loves animals more that this little
Snow White Girl.
She loves animals more than babies.
I am certain she can mind speak with them and I hope she
is able to find a job where she gets to be with animals when
she gets older.
We had Employee Appreciation Day in March.
We had catered breakfast and lunch. We all got new polos and money.
We also got to go have massages.
I am NOT a massage girl.
I don't like to be touched.
But, I didn't want to appear ungrateful, so I signed up for a time
with Rach and Raegan.
The "parlor" was in a seedy little strip mall and felt all grody inside.
None of the people who worked there spoke english and when it was our turn
they took us into this back room that was all dark and "shady".
There were four tables in a row and we just laid on them as we were told to do with no words
just hand gestures by the non english speaking masseuses.
My girl was teeny-tiny. She probably weighed 94 pounds.
And she BEAT. THE. LITERAL. HELL. OUT. OF. ME.
for 30 excusiating minutes.
FOUR TIMES..... I almost stood up and screamed....
"okay ENOUGH, I just can't take another second of this"
I thought I might die of pain.
I also almost started crying and I felt embarrassed that I was such a wimp.
No one else was making a sound.
What a fragile baby I am.
WHY do employers think massages are so awesome?
I didn't feel appreciated anymore, I felt like this was a punishment.
Finally my 30 minutes was up.
FINALLY!!!!!!
And NO ONE said a word until we got inside my car....
And then simultainously and in compete unison all three of us just started crying.
It was awful.
We sat in my car and cried and breathed deeply and tried to stretch out our body parts
that were surely not going to ever recover.
I was convinced that when I woke up the next day, my neck was going to be
perma locked and I would never be able to look right or left again.
But, to my utter dismay, I woke up feeling fabulous.
I had a spring in my step and I felt like I could climb a mountain.
What do you know?
Thank you, little Chinese lady.
We went to the nursery and bought 4 new palm trees for the front yard.
I have been wanting little palm trees since we moved in.
I was giddy when Raleigh suggested it.
I love them.
They ae going to look so amazing when they are grown out a bit more.
I have been to 10 Depeche Mode concerts
Last time was in 2017.
I thought it would be my last.
Imagine my total surprise when Raleigh told me they were coming to
LV once again.
We chose a date.... I chose an outfit.
And I could NOT wait to go again.
We chose to go on a Thursday Night.
I knew that it would be rough.
The concert didn't start until 9:00 pm, which is really 10:00 pm our time.
And I couldn't miss work the next day because we had BIG stuff going on.
Every time I asked where our seats were going to be, Raleigh
would act all weird and pretend like he didn't really know and he
would act like he couldn't find the website.
All the while, he was just trying to hide the fact that he bought
floor seats just a few rows back from the stage.
I could not believe it!!
I wore super dark lipstick and felt all retro
I wish I could post just one of the 25 totally amazing
videos we took. It was SO amazing. They sound the same as they always have.
I am without a doubt the biggest Depeche Mode fan!!
They have made me SO happy for 37 years.
I will never forget my first DM concert in 1986...
It was outside, in Irvine, right after my sophomore year.
I had fabulous 80's hair and we danced all night to
20 of the most amazing Depeche Mode songs ever written.
So. Much.JOY
Nothing changed. I felt the same joy and happiness in 2023 that I felt all those
teenagery years ago.
They have never let me down once, they don't swear, they don't act inappropriately,
their songs aren't raunchy. They never felt the need to be gross or edgy or filthy.
Just good ole' wholesome music from the greatest musical decade of all time.
Dave's baritone voice is unmatched and he moves and SPINS around the
stage like a 20 year old. I could never do that and he is 9 years older than me.
Incredible.
I love him.
I had the greatest time.
March was so great. I have great memories when I think of all that we did and accomplished.
