I loved February weather so much.
We had several rainy days. Dark, cloudy, beautiful rainy days.
A couple of them turned into gorgeous snowy days.
The only thing that I dislike about my job is my office.
It doesn't have a window. So if I want to enjoy days like these, I have to go for a drive.
The Superbowl in 2023 was SUPER.
I love the Chiefs.
I love that they won even when they weren't supposed to.
We had a lovely feast and ate way too much.
I am pretty sad when football ends. It contributes to the dullness of the time of year.
Ryker worked hard on his project board.
He wrote a report on Fort Sumter.
We learned a lot about it when we helped him put things together.
We also helped him make his Valentines Day Box.
It is our very last one of our lives.
We couldn't be more excited to not have to ever make another
Valentine's Day Box.
We are thrilled that elementary school is almost behind us.
No tears will be shed. No "last kid" saddness here.
I just want to document how things looked in early 2023 before we go
crazy changing things up. We've been in this house for 4 years and it seems it may be time for a few
changes. It's cute. I have loved it. But, we are getting a little bored and have some
thoughts for changes. It's exciting.
Early in the month, we got to go on a field trip to our new laundry facility.
This area here is our storage section.
This will be lined with HUGE shelves like you see at Costco.
Storing things will not be a problem here.
It gigantic
But not half as gigantic as the laundry room.
It is massive.
Look how little we look in here.
It's going to be pretty overwhelming.
We took a tour of the whole building.... offices, break room, reception area.
I helped pick out the paint colors, the countertops and the cupboards.
It will be gorgeous.
After we left the facility, we all went to a little sandwich shop
down the street. I bet those employees were freaking out when we all
pulled in to their parking lot.
It was such a fun day
I was able to be a driver one night and take the girls to the Temple Visitor's Center for
a Young Women's activity. The absolute beauty of the the St. George Temple in the nighttime
is indescribable and sortof took my breath away when we drove up.
We had such a fun night learning things we didn't know.
I am so glad I was able to go.
Raleigh worked really hard to build a batting and driving cage.
It was a HUGE project. But it turned out well. It is on the lower
portion of the pickleball court, so we can't play pickleball or basketball for a while.
But he and Peyton have really enjoyed practicing their swings.
Raleigh is getting ready for a boys trip in October to Pebble Beach
One night following a good snowstorm, the kids worked hard collecting
all of the snow from our yard to make Frosty here.
He stayed up most of the next day.
We met the family at Dixie High School one Saturday to watch
Grant play Lacrosse. It was freezing and we were all kindof miserable.
But it was fun. He is such a cute boy with really cute legs.
The next day, we went to Gracie's mission farewell.
She has been called to Sacramento, Spanish speaking.
Which is so exciting because her brothers speak spanish.
That will be fun for them later in life, I think.
She gave a great farewell talk and I think she will be a great
missionary
I wrapped up 6 months with my new company.
It has gone so fast.
I have learned so much in 6 months and I cannot believe how much growth we have had since
I started. There is never a dull moment. There is always something going on, new experiences, new things to learn. We have so much fun in our office. We are in the very back part of the building and it's a good thing because we are always talking really loudly and laughing way too much to appear professional. It is known as the fun part of the office and people often come back there just to hang out.
We are really funny.
We support and learn from each other.
It's a great environment.
