Oh wait.... there's the light

There is something about feeling kinda crappy for 8 days in a row that makes a person a little down. I HATE not being able to do what I do, the way I want to do it, with the energy I want to use, with the strength I usually use. I hate that I walk with a little limp. I hate not being able to stand up completely straight and take a really good deep breath. I love this little wiggly baby inside me, but she is currently only complicating things with all of her swift kicks to all of the painful areas. Not to mention my slightly bigger very wiggly baby that I currently can't hold without wincing and grunting a little.

I love my cushy job, but I hate that I had to return so quickly because I have to save my vacation time for my next abdominal injury set to take place in 3 short months that will send me back to this state once again only much worse and accompanied by post partum baby blues. SIGH.
So I will use this day off (and I use that term lightly...day off) as Morgan, the social lite has planned a Summer Pool Party for all of her friends and I just barely found out I must be in attendance in the event one of them decides to drown, in which case I will have to hobble over to the fence and yell and scream for someone else to come rescue them because I promise you, I will be of NO help... oh and I also have just been informed that I am providing 2 pizzas for. And my downstairs bathroom needs a lot of love and I have never seen so much laundry in my life...

But... I think I will now take a sec to reflect on the things that did go well this week that made me happy. So I can be happy.

1. My super smart, super talented not to mention super hot husband fixed the downstairs toilet. I thought a professional was going to have to come in and charge us an arm and a leg to repair it, but nope... the love of my life has done it again... continued to amaze me.

2. Our garden is producing delicious vegetation. Holy Cow... anyone in need of a pumpkin this fall???? Come on over and pick one. Apparently we will have a few of them.
3. We got to hang with cousins and brothers that we don't see very often.4. I lost the four unnecessary pounds I had gained last month. I think your gall bladder only weighs half an ounce, so having that gone didn't do much, but the loss of appetite, change in diet and unpleasant side effects of having it gone are helping me keep things under control with these back to back pregnancies.

5. All but one of my kids are home where they belong. I love that they have all taken advantage of the Summer Holidays, but I secretly hate it when they are gone and I am happy that they are all home again and tan and healthy and happy and funny.

Oh man, I was dreading July.... with all of it's gigantic, potentially difficult events but we survived all of them and are stronger for doing so.

Yeah August.... Football, afternoon rainshowers, baby birthday parties and SCHOOL

Here's to a new week of feeling back to normal. Fingers crossed.

Cute post Kac! I'm glad that you have so many happy things in your life since you really do have every reason to feel YUCKY! I've been pretty impressed with the way you just bounce back from unpleasant things and we hardly know that you're uncomfortable. You really should try moaning and groaning just a little so that those around you will know to be kind. Have fun at the pool party, I really hope that no one will NEED you!
