Joy of Joys... Who Needs Boys??

A horrible confession:
At both of my 20 week ultrasounds, I laid on the table bawling. The technician had to find tissues for me. I was so sad that both of my last two babies were girls. I already had three girls, and when we found out Kaleigh was a girl.... I had FOUR of them.

I wanted another boy. I just did.

But Raleigh was so excited for girls. And he kept saying to me "Heavenly Father sent her to us and we are going to love her"
And once again... he was right. I could not love this girl MORE.
And words can simply not express my overwhelming joy with this girl
Who would ever want a boy...
Not us...
Not when little girls are this great

Well as you know, this (or something similar) has always been my motto..."who needs boys??" Girls really are the greatest. I never felt "jipped" that I didn't have any sons. But I must admit that now that I have sons-in-law (my current sons-in-law, that is) and grandsons, I think boys are pretty great too. There is something very special about the relationship between a boy and his mom, so I think you are very lucky to have Brayden (because he is just about the best there is) BUT you are also waaaayyyy luckier than most moms to have ALL these GIRLS!! And what makes you even luckier is that they are all SOOOOOOO cute! I mean, look at those faces, what could be better than that?? I'm sorry you were disappointed each time when you learned you were having another girl, I went through that too...THREE times...but now I wouldn't trade my girls for 50 boys and that's the truth! Here's to a very fun-filled and happy life ahead of you.

Such cute little pictures. The best part of having girls is the fun clothes. Boy clothes are so boring!

I love my boys to death but if I hadn't got my sweet Brilynn my life would have been so incomplete and very SAD! She is my little friend/buddy. She helps me whenever I needed it and is always willing and ready to go shopping with me and to see a chick flick.
