Thankful........ November 7th

Wednesday is Raleigh's day off.  And it is also our date day.  I look forward to them each week.  I race home from work change into my "date" clothes and we load up the little kids and off we go.  I will have starved myself the entire day, so that I will be really hungry and ready for a fine meal.  Raleigh chooses the restaurant.  It's taken me nearly 5 years to establish the "Raleigh chooses the Restaurant" rule.  And he almost does it each week without complaining.  We enjoy a fine meal, while we talk about the past week's events and coordinate schedules for the upcoming week.  We laugh a lot.  Then we go and do some sort of shopping. 

Sometimes we go to Costco.  Sometimes TJMaxx.  Sometimes Ace Hardware.  Depends on the mood.  Depends on our needs.  Then we swing by Little Caesar's and pick up a couple of 5 buck pizzas for the big kids.  Which seems like they are getting a raw deal.... but they think Little Caesar's is a huge treat. 

Then we usually watch a movie on Apple TV while we fold Raleigh's laundry that he spent the day washing and if I am lucky,  I get a massage.  Which I usually am. 

We have a crazy scheduled life.  We have the exact same schedules from week to week.  We have come to rely on them and we have come to love them.  We plan our lives around them and we plan our time together as well.  We cherish our time together and try to celebrate it the best way we can. 
Date Nights are important... so we make sure to always have them. 

 

It's November 7th....... and I am thankful for Wednesday Dates.
