Softball and kites and floods...

Another weekend came around.  I'm going to really love this weekend thing.  I think that I will say the weekend began on Friday.  We took Miss Kaleigh to get her stitches out.  She was the greatest patient.... again and laid ever so still while they worked on her.
Look at her cute folded hands.

She chose to go to Chick-fil-A for a cookies and cream milkshake with "lip cream" and a cherry
Then we went to the softball field to watch Raleigh play with his new company.  I really, really love watching him play softball.  It makes me so happy to be there.  And I know he is happy too.
They are really good and won both of their games.
And he appears to be fitting right in
Oh....  I forgot to mention, we also had a little ladies lunch which is a new tradition once a month.
On Saturday, we woke up early and did all of our chores, and then came home and got all cleaned up and ventured on over to the Kite Festival.  It was pretty windy and my hair blew into my mouth 2000 times, but it was really good kite flying weather.  And our kite was............. totally awesome!!
Here are Dada and Morgan on the bus.
We got to ride school busses like Allie over to the event.  It was so fun

We were so glad Morgan came with us
That way each one of us could take a kid
I got stuck with this one.

While we were there....  Nana called and said that they had some sort of flood and so Raleigh thought we should go check on things.  And what do you know?  It was a sprinkler issue.  So he changed in to some of Papa's grubbies so he could get really dirty
And I think he rolled around in the mud more than he needed to, so that he could destroy the shirt.

Papa told me that my husband is a genius.

Yes he is.

Is that Kaleigh to die for or what??? I'm so glad you got a picture of her folded hands because who would ever believe that if you just told them. She is soooo darling. I'm happy her stitches are out although they didn't seem to bother her much.

The Kite Festival looks like a success. A perfect windy day for kite flying. It looks like Raleigh chose a great kite and I'm sure the kids loved it, although Pey told me she didn't like all the "big" people, she needs to get out more. I love all the pictures.

I think we are all going to love "this weekend thing", especially if we continue having home issues....JK....I swear, we'll try not to involve you every time but I must say that it was really nice having someone who knew what to do. Of course I'm going to be washing mud for a few days but it's worth it.

I can't wait to hear what next weekend brings.

Oh I forgot to comment on our lunch together. This is a fun new tradition and I really hope we keep it going.

Seriously Kaci -- why are you and your family so dang cute? Every last single one of them. Indeed you lead a charmed life. You're my inspiration. <3
